Week 6 – Rest – 💪 Posing 🦵

Rest day today. Didn’t sleep great — I may have ingested a little too much St-Hubert chicken 🍗 last night. Kids had a great time though, so worth it.
Got in 30 minutes on the elliptical while my youngest was at basketball practice.

I’m officially registered for WWA Physique Sports — July 19 🎟️

I’m competing in:
- Men’s Novice Muscle Physique
- Men’s Masters 40+ Muscle Physique
“Muscle Physique” is basically their version of Classic Physique.
The only downside: I still can’t use my fresh new posing trunks. They require more of a square-cut / box-short style. Pain.
Judging Criteria (WWA)
1️⃣ Physique Development
- Muscle size, density, and shape
- Balanced development across all major muscle groups
- Full, round muscle bellies
2️⃣ Symmetry & Proportion
- Upper-to-lower body balance
- Left-to-right symmetry
- Overall structural aesthetics
3️⃣ Conditioning
- Lean and controlled
- Clearly defined
- Healthy and sustainable
Important note:
Extreme dryness, vascularity, or unhealthy appearance is not required — and may actually be marked down.
4️⃣ Presentation & Stage Presence
- Confidence and composure
- Controlled transitions between poses
- Professional demeanor on stage
Posing Routine
- Line up on stage in numerical order
- Face the judges in a Front Relaxed Pose
- Execute a series of mandatory poses as directed by the Head Judge
Mandatory Poses
- Front Double Biceps
- Abdominals and Thigh
- Side Chest (choice of side)
- Side Triceps (choice of side)
- Rear Double Biceps
Now What?
Now all I have to do is:
- Practice these poses
- Figure out my best side
- Develop some fucking confidence
