Week 29 – Show - ✅

I would like to thank my incredible wife Kim, my amazing boys Peter and Ben, my brother Mike, my sister Selena and baby Dave, my ball hockey and curling teammates, and my close friends and family for supporting me throughout this journey. Contest prep isn’t easy, and every bit of encouragement made the hard days easier.
I know bodybuilding can seem like a pretty vain pursuit. It’s not exactly raising money for a children’s hospital or an animal shelter—it’s basically starving yourself so strangers can judge how lean you are. If there were a way to do this for charity, I would.
When I was younger (and much larger), I used to strike terrible Arnold poses in front of my dad. He’d laugh and say, “You could really do that if you gave a damn.” It only took me forty years to see what he saw. I like to think he’d be proud of all of this.
Preparing for this show without a coach forced me to become a student of bodybuilding. I spent months reading, researching, experimenting, and learning from my mistakes. Along the way, I fell in love with the sport, and I’d encourage anyone who’s ever been curious to give it a try.
Oh, and I’ll leave you with this… Please help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered
