Brock back

Got to Gold’s in the morning to hit quads since I’ve got ball hockey tonight.

Session was a bit of a nightmare. The hack squat was taken, so I switched to front squats. The first set felt great β€” deep and heavy. But on the second set, around the fourth rep, I felt something like a pop/rip in my lower back.

Stopped immediately.

Could feel soreness (no real pain yet), but I’m a bit worried to see how the rest of the day goes.

Leg Extensions:
212.5 x 11
212.5 x 9

Single-Leg Press:
327 x 12/side
327 x 11/side

Leg Press:
637 x 12

Calf Raises:
410 x 15

Walking Lunges:
2 Γ— 55’
2 Γ— 55’

Quads still ended up very pumped, but I’m definitely concerned about the back.

By lunch it was feeling okay, so I did 30 minutes on the elliptical. Then after work it was Savages ball hockey β€” round 2 of the playoffs.

One of the best games I’ve played all season (with one minor turnover). We won in sudden-death overtime.

Next week is going to be interesting.

Rest tomorrow. Need to rest the back.
