I’ve had enough of the AI images (slop) for now. For these last three weeks before the show, I just want to focus on the training, the process, and whatever’s going through my head.

My energy has been at an all-time low these past few days, which seems to be exactly how prep is supposed to go. Calories are down to around 1,800, strength is holding steady, cardio is consistent, and the weight keeps coming down. I think I’m in a good place… I’m just tired. A lot.

But I can push through that.

Slept well last night and was ready to kick off the week with quads:

Hack Squats:
Set 1: 365 lbs x 8 reps
Set 2: 365 lbs x 5 reps (failed on the 6th)

Leg Extensions:
Set 1: 210 lbs x 10 reps
Set 2: 210 lbs x 8 reps

Calf Raises:
Set 1: 460 lbs x 12 reps
Set 2: 460 lbs x 10 reps

Leg Press:
Set 1: 727 lbs x 8 reps
Set 2: 707 lbs x 7 reps

Single-Leg Press:
Set 1: 347 lbs x 8 reps/side
Set 2: 347 lbs x 7 reps/side

Walking Lunges:
Set 1: 27.5 lbs/hand x 55’ × 2
Set 2: 27.5 lbs/hand x 55’ × 2

Really happy with the hack squats today. Those first 8 reps felt much stronger than last week’s, and focusing on the corkscrew cue while driving through the floor seems to be working. Left the gym with a great quad pump.

Lunch was the usual 35 minutes on the elliptical. After that, I was pretty much cooked. Got my work done, headed home, and practiced posing in front of my wife and the boys.

Their review?

“Not as cringy as I thought it would be.”

I’ll take it.

Tomorrow is my favorite day: push day.

20 days to go.

It’s starting to feel very real.
