Last day of work before show weekend.

I was up early this morning, couldn’t sleep in like I had planned. No gym today, so I spent the morning running through my posing routine.

Posing is finally starting to hit. I kept putting it off because it’s not easy. Holding the poses, flexing the right muscles, remembering the transitions, breathing, and it feels a little ridiculous at first. But I’m over most of that now (perhaps a bit too late). Now I just wish I had a little more time to experiment with a few extra poses and sneaky in a fun one if the oportunity strikes.

To recap, the show consists of five mandatory poses:

  • Front Double Bicep
  • Abdominal and Thigh
  • Side Chest
  • Side Tricep
  • Back Double Bicep

My wonderful wife says my Side Chest is my strongest pose, and that my left side is the one to show. Noted.

The plan for the rest of the day is simple: hit my macros and stay positive. The office has its weekly abs class today, so I’ll jump in for that and get another posing session in this evening. The winners of the fitness challenge won’t be announced until next week, ugh.

Hoping I can get the kids to walk the neighbourhood with me this evening and get those steps in.
